- Diagnosed with cirrhosis caused by fatty liver (MASH/NASH), not alcohol or hepatitis.
- Have not had problems such as fluid buildup in the belly or bleeding.
- Drink little or no alcohol.

No. Study-related visits, liver testing, and study medication are provided at no cost. You do not need insurance to take part.
Do I have to join after I answer the questions?
No. Answering the questions only lets Novum know you may be interested. You can ask questions and decide later. Your information is handled under Novum’s privacy policy.
How do the free Uber rides work?
If you need a ride, tell the coordinator when your visit is scheduled. Novum can arrange an Uber to the Clermont office and a ride home.
What does the testing involve?
Testing includes FibroScan, blood work, and imaging. Some studies also need a liver biopsy or an upper endoscopy. The team will explain what applies before you decide.
How often are visits, and how long do the studies last?
It depends on the study. Some last several years. The study medication is an injection, given at our office or at home depending on the study. A coordinator will review the schedule with you.
What counts as a complication?
Examples include fluid drained from the belly, bleeding from swollen veins, or confusion caused by the liver.
I take Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro. Can I join?
Many people taking these medicines can. Our team will go over it with you.
What if I haven’t been told I have cirrhosis?
Our cirrhosis studies are for people who have already been diagnosed. You can see our fatty liver studies instead.
